Join the Team!
Ohmygoodness, I'm so excited that you've made your way to this page! It's seriously a big deal to me that you're interested in joining the Beauty & the Budget Events team. As we begin the process of growing our team, we're over the moon about finding people who are an amazing fit, with big personalities and diverse skills that help us all grow together.
We're looking for people who love learning and growing, who love serving others, and who don't mind getting a little dirt on their hands. We're looking for people who want to grow with us, who are just as excited as we are about what this business has the potential to become (because trust me, this little biz has some big plans). We're looking for people who know who they are and aren't afraid to be a little different, because our amazing couples are so diverse, and you might be just the person they want to see on their wedding day.
So before we sit down over some coffee to get to know each other (because that's pretty much all an interview is), we've gotta get those official things out of the way. You know, like job applications. But we'll try to keep this one quick for you!
Before you get started filling out this application, please check out the job description and make sure you know what you're signing up for!
- We're looking to hire an Independent Wedding Assistant Contractor. As an independent contractor, you aren't an official employee of Beauty & the Budget Events. Instead, you have control over your schedule and the general way you perform the job. We'll help set you up for success, but we won't train you specifically on the way we want you to talk or act or perform the job; you have to be a self-starter, willing to infuse your personal style into the way you serve clients on wedding days!
- As a contractor, this position is paid per event. We'll let you know the wedding dates we need an assistant for, and you'll let us know which dates you want to work! You'll be expected to attend one meeting with the couple before the wedding, which will be paid at an hourly rate. Additional work may be offered to the contractor on an as-needed basis.
- As a Wedding Assistant, you'll be under the general supervision of a Lead Coordinator, and you both will be expected to work as a team to facilitate setup and tear down, coordination of vendors, and timeline management. A full Wedding Weekend Packet will be provided with all the information you need for a successful event.
Sound good? Yeah!? Then go ahead and fill out that application!
